but riders on harley davidson motorcycles can rev up their loud engines? and cops say nothing about that? isn't that noise pollution? but cops are quick to pull over someone with a loud stereo.
I notice how Harley riders will sit at a red light and rev up their engines so loud that is could damage someone's ears three blocks away.. but the moment someone wants to jam to a loud song.. all sirens and lights are flashing!! stereotyping at it's finest!!

1) It's a noise violation either way.
2) harley's aren't made that loud their modded so their louder so other drivers will hear them and hopefully not hit them.

Your question is like comparing a car with a loud exhaust and a car with a loud stereo. which one do you see ticketed more.

Reason, It's easier to prove and correct.

no,that is not noise pollution
teri toh aaya bada

Invasion of my civil liberties forcing me to listen to music I do not like. I do not have a choice when stopped in Traffic to not listen when it is loud enough to hear a block away. Just like the torture we did on prisoners at Gitmo making them listen to something they did not like.

its anoying to some but i think the main reason is a safety issue
its seen as distractive to the driverin that you may not be able to here someone blow there horn at you to avoid an accident or you may not here a siren when emergancy vehicles are approaching etc....

Actually where I work they are technically the same under the law. A noise violation. However, no one wants to hear someone else's loud music. The Harley's noise is part of the bike's engine and normal sound. So you're not going to have an easy time winning a noise case on a bike that was built that way and has no volume control. Besides the sound of a Harley is almost as good as hearing angels.
