...out to of liked black people? Lincoln was quoted as saying this in a debate against Steven Douglas.

"I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races, that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of n,egroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people ... I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything. I do not understand that because I do not want a negro woman for a slave I must necessarily want her for a wife. My understanding is that I can just let her alone."

Lincoln wanted to free the slaves and send back to Africa, Liberia, Panama, and Hati because of his colonization efforts. The civil war was fought to keep the Union together, not because he thought black people where of equal stature with white people.

I never was taught that he LIKED blacks. Write a history book if you think you know so much. The fact is, it is History and nobody around today knows EXACTLY everyones actions or thoughts from then.

This is not the biggest lie in your textbooks.

Pick up a copy of Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States.
