Why are Americans so obsessed with foreign cars?

This really bothers me, cuz if you're gonna live in America, you can atleast help support it, because cars are just about the only product that you can make sure are built here, by Americans (yeah, I know all American cars aren't built in America, but most of 'em are). Ok ... thanks, y'all!! XoXo =D
Thank you, Manuel!! It's nice to hear that every once in a while!! Unless people are personally being affected by a job loss in the American auto industry, they just don't care ... =)

im with u all the way thats exactly what i think. ppl lose jobs cuz of that. u dont see chevys or fords that much in japan or europe but we buy there cars. keep buying american =]

It's simple enough. I've owned four American cars, bought them all brand new. The last one was an '02 explorer. Every one of them needed work before the warranty was out and every one of them were falling apart before they reached 50,000 miles. I treat my cars well, get them serviced regularly and expect them to last. My current car is foreign and has been great. So far, not a problem with over 20,000 miles. That's something I could not say about my last four American made cars.

I'd prefer to buy American but cannot afford to buy cars that are going to cost more, use more gas and fall apart. America needs to improve the quality of its cars before it can expect buyer loyalty.
