I have a 1 swordtail, 2 tiger barbs, 5 neon tetras, 1 blue gourami, 1 green spotted puffer, 1 figure eight puffer, 1 bala shark and 3 zebra danios. Last week I had a very pregnant swordtail who out of nowhere just died then yesterday one of my tiger barbs died, but he was flipping around the aquarium and in bad shape, but that came out of nowhere, now another one of my tiger barbs is doing headstands and now is laying on its side. I have a nitrite problem and its been goin on for a month it used to be really bad and all the fish tolerated it so I bought an air pump, have been doing lots of water changes and bought a bunch of live plants, so now the nitrite is going down. I first became concerned when my bala shark lost its color and became very white, but is now back to normal, so in the past 2 weeks i have lost 2 fish and am about to lose another, i was wondering is the problem my nitrite level, a disease, such as bladder or ich, or something else? by the way in between my 2 tiger barbs scales it has become black recently. All help is greatly appreciated, and by the way all of these fish are in a 29 gallon tank and besides for the nitrite water quality is perfect
By the way all fish are getting along fine and my puffer aren't looking sick at all
