Why and how has Australia been the only continent not invovled in any sort of war?

Excluding Antarctica of course

I mean, here we have the American Revolution, the freaking Civil War, and then then WWI, WWII, French and Britain battles, Japan and China (during WWII)....and somehow Australia just avoids it all?

Is it because it has no alliances or any relations with any other continent? Is that possible? It's pretty weird to me...
