I have a 1985 Chevy C-10 pickup truck with a 4.3 V6. It sat for a few months with a gas leak where the tank emptied itself out and the battery died. So I installed a new battery and put fuel in the tank and it's still a no go, replaced the mechanical fuel pump and still not getting fuel. So do I need to prime the fuel pump or anything? Will it not pump any fuel if the level is too low after being completely empty?
