why am i getting charged for two months on sprint bill?

ok so i got sprint september 30 th and i paid my first moth bill no problems. but now i went to check on my bill online and there chargeing me for this month and next i dont understand can some please tell me why. i was told i would be paying monthly not two months . i have had at&t and verizon and they never charged my like this. this is making me really unhappy.
anybody else who has sprint had this problem?
