Can someone plleeeaassseee explain to me why I'm getting the same radio station through some electronics in my new apartment? I have some old JS speakers that I hook up to my laptop. When I plug them into the electrical outlet (not to the laptop yet) the music comes on. Same thing happens to the tv in my bedroom (old-school hugemongous JVC), only it's when I plug the component set from my DVD player into it, then I can hear the music when the tv and DVD player are on...even as I watch a movie. I mean...Freaky With You by Another Level is a good song and all...but not over my movie...or while I'm trying to type. What the heck is going on?

Uh, have you spoken with any of your neighbors.
Maybe the radio station transmission tower is on top of your building or right next door.
Seriously, I would ask some of the neighbors if they have this problem and if so, complain to the building management. If the neighbors have the same problem, the building electrical system may not be properly grounded.
If the radio transmitter IS nearby, there may be nothing you can do about this, unfortunately. You can complain to the FCC but I wouldn't expect a speedy resolution unless a lot of other people have also complained in the last few years.
One last thing, check all of your cables, you might try buying some good quality cables for the DVD/TV connection. If this works then your old speakers probably have a bad cable too
