Why all the unprotected sex?

Ok the boat must have left and I wasn't on it. I read on here all the time about teenagers, and adults posting about unprotected sex and pregnancy. You know the am I preggo questions. They drive me nuts. But my questions is for the people who have unprotected sex without being ready for children. I know, I know, it feels better, but with all the STD's and hours of worrying am I pregnant, I don't think it's worth it. I was one of those really paranoid people who was on the pill, and my motto on condoms was no glove no love, until I was married and ready for a child. So for those people, why do you choose to not use protection?
 
For me & my boyfriend,I was on the pill & we used a condom but it broke and BC didn't work. Now we have our baby boy on the way. We tried our best to protect ourselves but it didn't work out that way.
