Franz Kafka

mine is Franz Kafka's metamorphosis

Terry Goodkind - Wizard's first Rule
Catherine Jinks - Evil Genius and The Reformed Vampire Support Group
Eoin Colfer - Everything by him
Christopher Paolini - Inheritance Cycle
Robert Cormier - The Chocolate War
Hilari Bell - Farsala Trilogy

I think my all-time favorite is Ted Dekker. He's bloody brilliant.

My favorite book by him would be "Black" (and the following sequels). He writes so wonderfully that even a confusing topic like the one discussed in Black is relatively simple for the reader to understand.

Nice question :)

My favorite author is C.S. Lewis
his imagination is pure genious and I love the way he tells his stories!

Donald Westlake "Drowned Hopes"
Tim Dorsey "Cadillac Beach"
Douglas Adams "The Long Dark Tea Time Of The Soul"
Clive Cussler "Sahara"
Bernard Cornwell "Sharpe's Eagle"
Janet Evanovich "Two For The Dough"
Neil Gaiman "Anansi Boys"
Terry Pratchet "Going Postal"
Mike Grell "Jon Sable: Freelance -Death Is A Bum Deal"
Tim Truman "Scout: Four Monsters"

Westlake and Dorsey are running very close for my favorite author spot.
