Who's the greatest lyricist?

My favorite two are Morrissey, of the Smiths fame, and Ian Curtis, deceased lead singer of Joy Division. Out of the two I would have to say that Morrissey was the superior. His profound loneliness and depression permeated his lyrics, but he did it not only with sappiness and a "woe is me" attitude, but with wit and drama.

Say what you want of Axl Rose, but that guy can write lyrics.

I've come to know the cold
I think of it as home
When there ain't enough of me to go around
I'd rather be left alone
But if I call you out of habit I'm out of love and
I gotta have it
Would you give it to me if I fit you neeRAB
Like when we both knew we had it
