Well I'm automatically not voting for the Dragonforce guys since all of their songs go something like this just in a different variation

I bought one of those gizmos that destroys junk mail etc. The technical ability of it's shredding was awesome to behold

And that's why I can't understand why people just pass him off as a shredder. I do prefer Tender Surrender though - it doesn't meander as much. Satriani is actually a great songwriter, especially Strange Beautiful Music era. Malmsteen is rubbish IMO.

John Frusciante is awesome mainly because people can connect with him. many song writers have that ability. i love it when they do. Conor Oberst, Patrick Wolf, Elliott Smith. All great song writers who have that ability. Check em out if you havent. But anyway. I love Frusciante.
