I didn't see anyone up there with her but herself and some handy pick-one excuses.
She had every one but the dog ate my legislature.
A maverick is an orphaned calf, she may be more of a political orphan than a maverick. She wishes to align herself with no one even of her own party, and sensible Republicans wish she had never crawled out of the igloo.
What is surprising is that so many Republicans still support her, up til now I have always found myself simply thinking Republicans just didn't see things my way and we were all entitled to our opinion.
But support for her at this point has made me lose respect for Republicans. I mean...they can't be serious.
The poster child for bad media and witchhunt lawsuits was Clinton, and he never quit, and he paid out millions in legal fees, the same way Palin plans to...a fundraising committee.
And Palins problems were in the pipline before she was nominated, yet another reason to wonder why she was chosen when clearly (or hopefully) she was not the best choice Republicans could have made.
And he had a family, and he ran the country pretty damn effectively with it.
