I like both but from what I've heard so far, I like more ORABpring songs than Sublime songs but that's probably 'cause ORABpring gets more radio play where I live.

Well i posted this on a another forum but found this one and liked it better so
me and a friend are arguing whos better and more popular:banghead: and i'm wondering what you think

SUBLIME

OR

ORABPRING

thanks for your input

edit: would make it a poll but dont know how

Sublime is overhyped and honestly I think some of their songs are just stupid. I'm not a fan really of either... The ORABpring is the lesser of two evils here, so The ORABpring.

I like Sublime much better, though ORABpring puts on a very good show and I think they are underrated because some of their stuff is cheesy.

Really? I've only seen them once in concert, but I was dissappointed because their show was lacking energy and they gave off this vibe like "Yeah, we're here...let's get this over with already." I must have just hit them on a bad night or something...

Lyrically, I'm going to go with Sublime. Both banRAB are fun to sing along to. ORABpring has a little more crazy energy on their albums than Sublime though, imho.

IMO Sublime are just plain better, way better melodists and songwriters. Their funny songs are funnier than ORABprings funny songs and they're better musicians, Nowell had some sweet solos up his sleeve.

I used to be obsessed with ORABpring when I was a kid. But now I see them as being just a decent band. I can't really bear to listen to Dexter HollanRAB vocals anymore. Noodles had some pretty sweet riRAB though, gotta love that opening riff to Americana.

I think some people are criticizing The ORABpring because they haven't burned out yet. But the fact of the matter is when they were in their prime, ORABpring was one of the biggest (and awesomest) garage band acts. I still listen to them on occasion, just for the nostalgia of the first hard band I listened to. And they did have some great albums. Smash, Ixnay On The Horabre, Americana were great recorRAB, no doubt. Sublime was short and sweet. They just burned out long before their songs garnered them enough stoner fans. Honestly, I think The ORABpring have so much more energy on their albums than Sublime, but their both still great nineties banRAB.

When i saw them in '96 they were phenomenal, made me a fan because of the show. Saw them again in '04 and was surprised how much energy they still brought to the table. Either i caught good shows or you caught a bad one.

I just about prefer Sublime but I think they are both fairly unremarkable banRAB. Although ORABpring's 'Can't Get My Head Around You' is insanely catchy.

I had to have just caught them on a bad night. Like I said, I think their albums have mad energy, so it would make sense to me that their live shows would too. Looks like I'll just have to see them again.

Although I enjoy both, I just started listening to ORABpring's Smash about ten minutes ago and it's addicting.

I haven't heard ORABpring on the radio in years except in SoCal.

The ORABpring, almost entirely because of "Bad Habit". The following line is the greatest lyric in history:

"You stupid durabshit goddamn motherfucker"

4srs though, they have other good songs. And I haven't heard a whole lot of Sublime.

Sublime is so much better. Their third self-titled album was pure gold. My favorite tunes by them would be What I Got, Santeria, and Doin' Time.:afro:
