I've been doing a project about cars that park on pavements and initially found astounding apathy to this. Then I began researching annonymously- and found a lot more people are offended and actually feel like committing crimes themselves.
THEN - I decided to keep it positive and give the people parking on the pavements a reason not to do this- and found that tyre pressure is reduced when the tyre strikes the kerb - if it is continuous the tyre may fail one day so its in the drivers own best interests not to do this.
I want the local councils to be given extra powers to enable them to cite cars that park on footpaths/pavements in such a way as to obstruct people and prams, invalid vehicles etc.
WHO would you canvass first- would it be the local MP or if you didn't trust him as his affiliations go deep- who would you lobby?
