Seriously, when will the Vampire genre have decency again. The Twlight glitter in the sun vampires have dominated everything. Who will be the person who kicks Stephenie Meyer's butt of her tall pedastool?

Funny you say that. I read somewhere that Stephenie Meyer was thinking along the line of Mermaids for her next project.
 
Hopefully the one who doesn't write about vampires, blood, and shinny gay guys T_T. Twilight is the worst thing that ever happened. I for H.G Wells woo!
 
I'm gonna go ahead and go along with dr. seuss haha. But seriously if I had to choose I would pick L.J. Smith. She wrote the Vampire Diaries books in the early '90s and I just read them because the tv show came out. I like the show and the books are better and she is publishing several more so I hope she becomes popular again.

Rachelle Mead. SHe is the author of Vampire Academy and people all around the world love the series. Twilight is way to over-rated now and I'm hoping some does kick her off.
If not her than P.C Cast and Kirsten Cast the authors of House of Might series. P.C Cast has written heaps of other vampire novels and people are in love those series especially.
