whoever wants to enter just post your poetry below. the only rule is that you cannot plagiarize. i will pick the winner and i will be as fair as i can possibly be. GET CRACKIN

winner will receive best answer, if it matters to you
i guess i should have stated this clearer than i did before: enter only one poem. i dont really care how quickly it was written either.
 
so leave behind the angel
before you meet your fate
and take on this world so
regulative, to the interval
and some day we will find
what loosens the bind
and lets this all go
release the inconceivable
don't let it get to you
believe in what's true
and it will let you through
even when there is no reason

before we die away
 
I wrote this poem last week- and this piece is my property, although I haven't had it copyrighted.

"The Death of longings" by Savage Serenity

I came into the world to proclaim peace
Venturing forward from a tremendous hill
As each year passing drove away innocence
Until I reached the great abyss.

As spring brought gossamer dreams
A great light fell upon my trails
I rested on serenity’s mantle
I closed my eyes and pined away.

Beneath solemn shadows
Cloistered with groaning trees
My face began changing
My youth began to fade.

Summer enthroned the empires of night
In silent isolation, manhood throttled me
My embarkation out to the great deep
I was engulfed by time.

My longings have been extinguished
Passed away are all the things for which I yearned
But I dream no more-
For to detritus,
I have returned.
