Who wants to be a Millionaire needs to be cancelled quick.

The reason it has not, yet is:

A: ITV like it.

B: It still makes money

C: Its ratings are better than anything else on Tuesday

D: They have run out of shows to put Katie Price in to replace it.

And your final answer is? :)

They could phone her friend, Alex?

Seriously, its a simple format and clocks up 3.5 - 4 million in a slot that would likely not get much more whatever else they put there.

It has run out of steam somewhat and the revamp has not helped much. But I imagine they have an affection for it given its global success. They will likely agree its time to go with Chris Tarrant if they find a suitable replacement.

Finding a format that works as well as this has is not easy (Colour of Money etc).

no I think he signed a contract with Living & Bravo, when Jordan signed with Living. They could use Peter Andre of course, I dont think he was part of that deal.

ITV has not love for the international Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?'s they missed the chance to make the profit from selling the format rights around the world.

Keeping Millionaire because they cant find a better format, is hardly a good thing.

The format has been sold around the world, but the money hasn't gone to ITV as it does not have the rights. It's well past its sell-by date. Any time saved by the clock in the new format has been swallowed up by even more waffle from Tarrant and tedious personal interest guff on the contestant.

Maybe they should axe it, then watch, there would be an outrage like with Heartbeat, GMTV...

Demands that Channel 5 pick it up etc!

Not sure why it needs to be "cancelled quick"

None of the million-pound winners were 'normal' people either. In fact, the show has reeked of dodginess on soooo many occasions!

I'll never forget the time when Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen and his wife were on the

I agree and so did a lot of people on here during that last offering of Ant and Dec's.

It was a great concept and I remember the final being really exciting. Can't understand why it's gone.

On the topic of WWTBAM, I've never liked it since they changed the money ladder. imo the original values and guranteed winning points were absolutely perfect.

Adding the timer seems like flogging a dead horse to me.

Poker Face has done very well for Ant n Dec its been sold to many countries.

Think ITV were a little quick to give it the push, just like they did with Survivor.
