Hiring Larry Brown,
Trading Jason Richardson for talent that accommodates the team.
Drafting D.J Augustin.
He's done a great job this season. He should be credited with GM of the Year.
Your thoughts.

His next move should be: Re-sign Reymond Felton as a sixth man

Trade Gerald Wallace.

well gm of the yr for a team should actually have a winning record i believe..

he has done a good job, and don't forget about Rod Higgins. we should re-sign Raymond Felton. but we're keeping Gerald, we need him. we just need to find somewhere for nazr mohammad and sean may to go. but MJ as GM of the year, i can't support.

GM of the year? LOL yeah right... he has sucked as a GM since he took over. He is more concerned with his golf game than putting together a winning team. And yes, as someone mentioned GM of the year should be from a winning team.

lol no way. MJ is one of the worst GM's in sports. He's been doing better as of late but when's the last time they drafted a player who turned to be a superstar, or even an all star??? the answer is NEVER. We'll see how Augustin develops and who MJ drafts in this years draft. Maybe he can turn things around, but right now theres no way he wins GM of the year. He traded his first round pick of three years ago for Vlad Radmonovic...lol that says it all right there.

while you make some valid points, also note that Larry Brown was a BIG piece of the draft decisions and trades, as bringing in J-Rich was Jordan's big move from last season.

I would give the Denver Nuggets GM (can't remember his name?) the exec of the year. traded away team-killer AI, and brought in a player the city loves and turned them into a team that scratches and claws its way into the playoffs into the 3rd seed in the west.

Well he definitely made some bad draft pick in the past but if the Bobcat finish in the playoff which is a possibility I think he should be considered as a candidate.

But usually this award goes to a GM that made a significant move to put their team into contention to win it all or come close and I really do not see anyone who standout like last year when Danny Ainge got the award and Mitch Kupchat came in second but they both made great trades to put their club into contention,

But since I do not see any teams making those types of trades or changes to their club then MJ should at the very least be considered especially if his team makes the playoffs.
