Who still listens to Tupac?

granted biggie was a great rapper.. his songs were very catchy and enjoyable.. props to him.. but tupac's lyrics were on another level, I've always loved tupac, his style, his songs, his aura.. I always and forever will listen to tupac.. R.I.P..

Jada Pinkett smith recently donated 2mil to her highschool for a theatre/drama hall.. and asked that the hall be named after her best friend that also attended the school with her.. Tupac Shakur.

sometimes i do. its still pretty decent but aging. just because some college have courses on it doesnt make it great though, hell they have college courses on lil' kim too.

I actually listend to Tupac last night for the first time in years.

And I had forgotten how much emotion he had in his music. I was listening to some remix that was done with an unreleased track, and the verse they used was absolutely amazing.

I love any of his stuff where he just snap's. He comes out so powerful when he lets it just flow, quick and loud and harsh. That's the Tupac I like. I just feel the emotion in his verses more than any other vocalist I've ever heard.
(Minus Johnathan Davis on "Daddy", that was some deep and disturbing shit)

It's funny that I found this thread. I'm a metal head. I listen to prog and black metal, but for some reason I totally dig Tupac, and he's pretty much the only rapper I listen to. I have his greatest hits double CD in my car at all times, and I've been listening to it a lot recently.

More info about these University classes about his music, please.

His best album is Me against the world. His lyrics convey pain and torment, I mean... the man did get shot 5 times and survived to tell his story.

the classes are based moreso on his poetry, but also his musical lyrics.

all i know is the schools that have the classes in the curriculum.

most of the older rappers songs will always be popular due to people relating to them so much.. unlike songs about nike shoes.. i dont know how i can relate to that lol!

Modern hip-hop. Lol.
They talk about girls, money, drugs, rides, and jewelry.
Tupac is pretty good, don't listen to rap / hip-hop a lot though.
