His way of asking the question may sound like a windup, but apparently the story is true. Theres something about it on Brian May's website too I believe, although whether or not it fully confirms that they are making a film about Freddie and Queen I'm not sure. I think Brian himself says that Johnny Depp would be good. Probably should check his website for information rather than taking whats on here as gospel.

Tony Vincent or Ricardo Afonso.
Both of them have played the 'Freddie Mercury' role in the west-end, in We Will Rock You, and they are both amazing. I saw Ricardo live, and have seen clips of Tony... they would play Freddie so well, and have some resemblance too

i'm in two camps about this...if there was a film i would watch it! But, i can't see anyone being Freddie...so for that reason i think the whole thing should be left alone...but, i would see the film if there's going to be one.
