Apparently since it is over 15 years since Freddie died they are going to make a proper film (drama) about his life and apparent death. AIRAB>

Who should play Freddie in the film? I don't think it has to be a coloured actor or anything as most people didnt even realise that Freddie wasnt properly British. and was born in Zanzibar (off Africa).

My top ideal people would be:

1) Billy Elliot (has proven he can act, dance and sing and is quite grown up now since the ballet)
2) Rupert Everett - a good actor with plenty of range
3) Robbie Williams (would have all the flmaboyance and would be able to sing the difficult songs like Bohenium Rapsody and You Cant Stop Me Now.

What did I say, What did I say!!!! :D I think they got the idea from seeing my suggestion. ;)

I have always thought, especially after he played Borat that if they ever decided to do a film about the lives of the Marx brothers, then Sacha Baron Cohen would be good for the role of Groucho. I thought to look at him when he played Borat, he had a look of Groucho about him with the hair and the mustache. However, I don't think he would be the best person to play Freddie Mercury.
I remember when there was something in a magazine where there was a rumour that Johnny Depp was going to play Freddie, they had a picture of Johnny Depp with his hair greeced back and a mustache and he looked quite like him! He's a good actor too and unlike a lot of American actors, IMO he can put on a variety of good British accents!
