Who Should I see About This Problem?

i was going to tell you exactly what jenny just did. one HUGE thing about getting ANY chiro adjustments is they are bascially a 'blind" procedure(they simply cannot see what is moving inside), espescially if your c spine has not at least had an MRI done FIRST. the type of problem i had and did not know it would have been a possible paralyzing issue if i had done the chiro thing before even finding out what was actually even there within my spinal cord first. the way our brachial plexus just is,you can have a host of actual arm, wrist finger problems with or even without having any real neck pain. ot you can have a ton of symptoms too.

just considering what took place BEFORE your symptoms actually started, you REALLY have to look at that so called "base of operations" where the c spine nerves actually start, up in that c spine and the cord too. without having that very badly needed MRI done at all, you just have no idea what could have occured with the hit, or what actually could have already been there but just a smaller issue that just became much more pronounced when that hit made it that way. any hit to an area of the spine, espescially the much more vulnerable c spine and the lumbar too, can bring on alot of underlying issues that just needed that 'trigger" to show themselves at all kind of thing.

what you are actually describing as symptoms could very well also be affecting the cord area too. this is how you can end up with any level of actual leg problems or even just a foot or feet when the actual problem is way up in your c spine area. it all depends on what is going on up there and how much true impact is there and possibly upon the cord itself too. you can also always have more than just one particular issue within the spine when you have any symptoms going on too. alot of people can have two or three areas of actual cord contact or nerve impingement depending upon what levels actually are the underlying problem.

my best advice to you right now would be for now and until its okayed by at least a neurosurgeon or other specialist, stay the heck away from ANY more actual adjutments from any chiro. they can create some problems 'just" from them adjuting things without knowing what is underlying, and also make already present issues much much worse, espescially within that very highly innervated c spine area. but your bigger NEED right now is to try and obtain a contrasted MRI done on that c spine. i know it is spendy, but by not actually having this done espescially WITH radiculopathic type symptoms already present, it could possibly bring on a TON of much worse problems down thew road or if that neck takes another hit or a whiplash type injury just occurs. right now you just simply do not know yet what the true extent of involvement is up there.

just having any numbness can mean a few different things here, anything from a bone spur that is impinging upon it to an all out ruptured disc. its the symptoms that you are actually now also having in your feet along with everything else that really would concern me most right now. it simply would not be there without a good reason, ya know? this just 'could' be some level of actual cord contact you have up there. and it could have been exacerbated by the actual adjustments done too. that part you will probably never really know since you just did not have that "baseline" of an MRI done BEFORE you saw that chiro. but just finding out NOW is really just so badly needed for you. how anyones actual symptoms play out with anything spinal is really so highly lindividual in just about any real case of spinal problems. it depends upon sooo many different individual factors.

but getting that initial MRI is really what needs to be done here before anyone can really just know what the true level of spinal involvement actually is. after that gets done, the results would kind of dictate your next steps from there. this is just really needed dave. hopefuly you can get some type of arrangements set up that you may not have to pay fiull cost or just make payments on this. with so many people just not having any ins right now, i know alot of medical facilitys have just had to get a bit more creative as far as patient care and paying for it. please keep us posted on thingsd dave. good luck, FB

Txdave....the very symptoms of my cervical spine problem was numbness in both feet. It makes sense from a spine point of view just not to us. Let us know how it goes.
