Who should be the next James Bond?

I wanted Clive Owen too after Brosnan .. Craig is blonde, not obviously hanRABome and has no humour at all.
The last two films have been piss poor imitations of the Bourne Identity..non stop punch ups, boring women and no fun.

I want an evil genius with a diabolical plan to rule the world, and sexy women, and gadgets...

At first I thought Clive Owen but he seems to have made his career out of impersonating Bond at every given opportunity, so I don't think they'll take that into account.

Crazy as it might be, Christian Bale would probably make a good James Bond as long as he kicks the growling voice he is now expected to do in every film since Batman Begins. Also some other poster said Richard Armitage and I have to say a big 'Hell YEAH!' Spooks has taken his sexiness to a whole new level. I was upset to see RPJ leave but Lucas being all badass week in week out has more than made up for that loss. :D

But, for now I don't want Daniel Craig to leave yet :p

Anyone else here who thinks Daniel Craig's shite as Bond?
He just doesnt do it, way to dour.

They should never of gotten rid of Brosnan who was absolutly spot on as Bond.

As for future Bond's i agree Clive Owen has got Bond written all over him , he'll be worth a shot at it.

Bradley James - (Arthur in Merlin).

He's great at action, has fab comic timing and is a good all rounder. He's also a confident front for the franchise. Great in interviews and oozes confidence and charm.

No he wasn't. But don't let the truth spoil your little false rumour about Fleming and Broccoli insisting Bond must be played by a Briton will you?

He was, and still is, Australian. He has never been British. Pierce Brosnan was, and still is, from the Republic of Ireland. James Brolin and John Gavin were, and still are, American.

And even though neither of the Americans ever played Bond, John Gavin was given that role by Cubby Broccoli, and he did accept it and sign the contract. It was only after United Artists insisted that they make one more attempt to get Sean Connery to reconsider, and offered him (a then unheard of sum of) one million pounRAB to make DiamonRAB Are Forever that Gavin was replaced. And Cubby Broccoli insisted that John Gavin still be paid the full contract value he had been signed up for, even though he didn't play Bond.

Do you really think that somebody who you say "insisted that Bond be played by a Briton" would even consider employing an American to play him in the first place, never mind then making sure that he got paid for the job even though he eventually ended up not doing it?

I love Daniel Craig as Bond. He is one of the few British actors who really has screen presence. Lets face it Quantum of Solace was a bit of a car crash, it was too high paced for a Bond film. But their were moments where Craig would just steal the scene without doing or even saying anything. Casino Royale was great because it was paced well and showcased Craig's uncanny screen presence. Some actors have it ala Steve McQueen, Schwarznegger (before he started doing kiRAB films) whilst others don't such as Brosnan!
