Who said Nintendo can't release RARE titles? v. donkey kong country

What have I heard about RARE games not being released on Virtual Console? Over here in Australia, I can already download Donkey Kong Country for Virtual Console. Can't wait for Goldeneye on N64.
 
donkey kong is a nintendo property that was only developed by Rare ...

anything such as star fox, donkey kong, diddy kong, or any pre-existing or even many co-created properties will probably be released.

Goldeneye on the other hand is a toss-up... it was solely developed by rare, published by Nintendo, but the licensing issue is up in the air as both companies at one time had the bond license for the game...


things like Banjo Kazooie, Tooie, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Kameo, and various other properties also including Joanna Dark/Perfect Dark will never see the Wii unless there are royalties paid out to Microsoft

even then, highly unlikely.
 
I am still hoping that maybe Nintendo has enough rights to bring this out for Virtual Console. I mean they are not rereleasing it as such, it's just a game in the N64 library.

Just want to point out that that isnt accurate. Nintendo developed Goldeneye aswell as Rare, it was a joint development team with Nintendo also publishing.

Look at the credits and you will see Nintendo staff.
