My car was towed due to unpaid tickets. Now I know I should've paid my tickets in the first place but when I finally paid my fees and redeemed my vehicle, I noticed that my check engine light was on and my transmission was stuck on one gear. When I finally got home I had to let my vehicle cool down so that I would be able to reverse. My mechanic advised me that my transmission blew. I never had this problem before it was towed. Am I able to sue the city for damages?
