apparently there is a real song like this that they used but rewrote it
 
I'm stumped. I have no idea what the McDonald's fillet o fish song sounds like. So... I searched on Youtube and found several possibilities. One was a fillet o fish ad with a guy and a french fry at an aquarium and the music was from Richard Strauss, an old ballroom waltz. Another had a singing fish on a plaque basically complaining about a guy eating a fillet o fish sandwich.

So..... what song is it we are actually talking about?
