Obviously The Stanislovski system was created by Constantine Stanislovski the Russian actor/director/everything-wonder, but did he actually coin the term "The Stanislavski System," or is it just a name that was made up by and then caught on by his fans, colleagues, proteges, and such? It is just very unclear to me whether he was just like, "hey guys I have this idea it's my "system," or if people were like, "the Stanislavski guy has this acting thing pretty well figured out and is teaching people his "system."
