who made the engine for the saleen s7? was it saleen or ford?

what engine is in the saleen s7? is it of ford make? i know saleen likes to make crappy ford cars in to badass cars. but me and my friend were talking about cars and i said the s7 just might be my favorite car and he said " i thought you hated ford?" and i said " i do" and i'm sure you guys know the rest... so i just want to know did saleen make there own engine for the s7 or did ford?
corey your really smart right? graduated at the top of your class i'm guessing?...
 
The Saleen S7 is a limited-production, hand-built, high-performance automobile developed jointly by the Saleen corperation (Created and owned by Steve Saleen), Hidden Creek Industries, Phil Frank Design, and Ray Mallock Ltd. with Ray Mallock Ltd taking full credit designing and developing the S7, and produced solely by the Saleen corperation in Irvine, California. Ford has absolutely nothing to do with the S7 car.
