Who knew it would happen????

I haven't heard that. I find it annoying that Iget charged to receive them. I discourage people from sending them to me.

I have the 400 message package with them, but I hope they go the way of the little orange people and offer unlimited for $5!

you mean Cingular's unlimited in-network messages for $5? It's no suprise that T-mobile is going to 15 cents since the other carriers all did... they all seem to "follow the leader" with most stuff.

It isn't terribly surprising, since just about every other carrier has raised their rates so far. My guess is that yes, that rate would be for after your package expires (I don't recall the exact package conditions off the top of my head), or more generally for people who don't have SMS packages. It shouldn't directly affect your package rate.

Actually they aren't following the pack on this one, they are leading it. As was stated they are raising TEXT messaging rates to 15 cents but dropping MMS messaging rates to be 15 cents. Basically they are going to a simple flat rate messaging. No matter what kind of message, no matter to who it goes (in the US), you pay one rate (after bucket messaging is used if you have a messaging package). It will probably benefit more than it will hurt. Now you can send picture messages or audio messages for the same price as text. As for incoming, you can actually disable all messages if you don't want to send or recieve any at all.

Zo.

Any ideas if they will add unlimited MMS messages to the Minutes and Mail plans (currently 1000 minutes, unlimited SMS messages, BIS for 60/mo)?
