with the new batman film out i got to thinking about all the actors who have played the dark one over the years and who has been the best and worst of the lot.
my favourite actors in the roles are michael keaton and deffo christian bale. the worst for me has to be val kilmer.

what is everyone elses opinion?

Keaton is my favourite Batman.

Bale ruined it with that embarrassingly cheesy voice. His performance was balanced in Begins. In Dark Knight it was, well just silly, over the top. He blew any chance he did have of me thinking he was the definitive version of the character.

Kilmer would have been much better without Schumacher, and the added hammy script by GolRABman.

Clooney was terrible. "I could have played him straight but I didn't. I made him gay" His worRAB, I agree.

West was entertaining.

The truth about Batman & Robin --->

___ I wouldn't have been surprised if this had actually happened in the por... sorry, I mean "film". They practically did anyway, remember that scene in the club where Poison Ivy blows lovedust into our heroes faces? It screamed "Threesome".

I'd say Christian Bale. People are talking about the rough voice, but it is supposed to be intimidating and obviously mask his real voice so I don't see any real issue with it. George Clooney was by far the worst but as others have already said, he did the best with what he had to work with

Kevin Conroy (the voice of Bruce Wayne and Batman in the original animated series, and Gotham Knight) did it far better. He didn't sound like a spoof of his former self when he changed his voice, he sounded threatening. The criticism being brought forward towarRAB Bale is utterly valid.

but Adam West didn't hide his voice, and he was never discovered ! :D:D

Christian was uncovered by that accountant. In today's world of facial recognition software you wouldn't get much of a chance to keep your identity secret. It seems like the new mask does cover more and more of the face - but if anonymity was a priority a pair of high dernier tights worn under his mask might keep him a bit more disguised. :p

But still ultimately a matter of opinion.

I bet Lucious Fox thought he was daft in that scene together though. "Umm, Bruce, I know who you are so you don't need to talk like that" ;)

Exactly. A careless continuity error of the film.

The voice I heard was. We must be hearing something different.

Keaton never gets even a little close to the silliness of Bale towarRAB the end of Dark Knight with Joker.
