who is the most improved toyota nascar driver this year in sprint cup?

David Ruetimann is my pick. He's one of the few that has run Toyota both years (Vickers, Waltrip, Blaney) and he is by far the most improved out of that group as Waltrip and Blaney have both slipped back, and Vickers is running just a stitch better than '08.

Joey Logano and Marcos Ambrose are both getting a vote from me.
Joey has done very well including one win,
and Marcos has barely been kept out of contention for the Chase, something many more experienced drivers haven't been able to do (Harvick, Jr. etc.)

No offense to the 2 drivers in parentheses or their fans.

I will have to pick David Reutimann. Last year, most of his races ended in a wreck. He not only overcame that obstacle, but he won the rain-shortened Coca Cola 600 to get his first series victory. And until recently, he was still a contender for the Chase. He is still the best non-JGR Toyota driver in the series. Yes, Brian Vickers may have what 5 poles this season- but he has no wins, and didn't even convert those poles to particularly good finishes in most cases.

David Reutimann. Even though it looks like he won't make the Chase this year he has really impressed me. Yeah, his one win was because he was out front when it rained but he's had other solid finishes to back it up. 3rd at Pocono and 4th at Vegas and Loudon.

I would say Marcos Ambrose but this is his first full year at the Cup level. Logano has shown some potential too in his rookie season.

I think Joey Logano. Since the kids so young and a rookie, he seems to be doing pretty well. I have a feeling he will be even hotter in 2010
