I don't remember the title, or too much of the story, but it was about a cast of characters living inside a T.V. show. As the show progresses, things get weird. The characters literally become different people altogether. For example, a stick of butter becomes a dog (Or was it the other way around). Every few paragraphs the narrator would announce "And now it's time for a commercial."
