...in the movie? ....and why didn't anybody in his audiences or in the movie's production proofread or correct some of the more embarrassing errors and "urban legends" in it?
I finally saw the movie as broadcast on U.S. cable television this weekend. I was most shocked at the number of glaring errors and exaggerations. My favorite was probably "A frog in slowly heated water fails to react and will boil without jumping out." and also the claim that one can spot with the naked eye the point in the Antarctica ice cores where the Clean Air Act started cleaning up the air. (A still picture shot of a core sample with what looked like a black ring in it it was shown during that voice over so it helped create the impression that cleaner air made for white snow or cleaner ice that was easily visible to the naked eye.)
Although the science of the movie seemed generally OK, I was shocked at the number of "howlers" like this and even wondered if AGW advocates find Al Gore's presentation embarrassing. Comments?

Yes, I realize that Al Gore's name is used in the title page of the book and title credits of the movie. But I spent enough years in Washington to know that very few of the books "written by" famous politicians are actually authored by them. Ghost writers make big bucks for doing the work. (Professors like Newt Gingrich are an exception.) Every now and then some scandal will cause the identity of a ghost writer to be revealed and people are shocked to see the same author behind the books attributed to celebrities who are on opposite sides of classic debates.
