Who is a better author, the author of "Bible" or the author of "Aeneid"?

I thoroughly enjoyed the Aeneid. I could really feel for Aeneas and his sense of duty/piety as well as all that he had to go through to create find a homeland for his people. The author uses metaphors effectively, and thus enriches the imagery for the reader. Bible is rather awkwardly cobbled together though. I feel that this God fellow is all over the place. Jupiter in the Aeneid seems much more level-headed, and even Juno is portrayed much more colorfully without losing context. Bible narrative seems to be all over the place, almost like a Tom Clancy novel. Author's "Jesus" comes off as incredibly preachy and simultaneously weak, thus hard to empathize with.
No, you are wrong. The author uses multiple characters to take on different stories.

Virgil? Never my cup of tea. Trying way too hard to be Homer and failing. As for the Aeneid in comparison to the Bible, it's really apples and oranges. The Bible had multiple authors, was sloppily edited, and suffered through a number of questionable translations. Also, one is a politcally motivated saga intended to flatter Emperor Augustus and curry favor, the other a spiritual text corrupted by Emperor Constantine and his Nicene Council.
