I been thinking of the epic debate of Harry Potter vs. Twilight and I was think which author is better in writing, creativity and everything that makes a fantasy author great. So who do you think is best-selling author? I like the Harry Potter series but I want your opinion
Who is a better author J.K. Rowling or Stephenie Meyer?

in creativity J.K Rowling deff. wins although i think i like the writing style of Stephanie much better. but she kind of just twisted some of the rules with vampires around. So yea...I'd have to say J.K. Rowling...

Rowling's sold over ten times as many books as Meyer, no contest there. Rowling is the best-seller.

Who is a better author? Again, Rowling. Her plots aren't as full of holes as a pair of old socks.

no

(I am certainly glad that you are reading books, but only in the same way a parent during the Reagan administration would have been glad their child was eating vegetables after Mr. Reagan had ketchup reclassified as a vegetable...)

If you want a personal opinion, it HAS to be J.K Rowling. She appeals to people from all walks of life, and her books have almost all original content. The amount of thought she has put into her books far exceeds that of Stephenie Meyer, who has merely adapted a well-known myth to fit her own desires.

JKR is definitely better
Stephenie Meyer is a bit repetitive with her descriptions
but i love both series of books and have read them all in both!! - at least three times!!

JKR of course and i will thumbs down any1 who says Meyer. Everyone can thumbs down me ... I don't care but I'm just want it known - Rowling is much better. That's the difference - JKR is a brilliant author whereas Meyer can't write to save her life. The idea of a vampire have safe-sex with a girl invites all teenagers, I'll admit it, but Harry Potter is a classic. Twilight is a phase!

Definitely J.K Rowling. Stephanie Meyer may have a nice way of writing that sucks readers in, but so does J.K Rowling, and J.K Rowling beats her in all other aspects. Not to say that Meyer is a bad writer, it's too cliched. What happened to creativity?

that's a good one. i think they are both great.. i would have to go with J.K Rowiling because i think he has more books out that are better.

they both suck as authors, but i guess Stephenie Meyer, but Jk Rowling started off well, but i lost intrest by the 6th book
