who has tried epiduo ?

My Dr. just gave me epiduo and I tried it tonight for the first time, but now I'm scared because I've been reading it will get worse before it gets better. I used a very small amt and don't feel too irritated. I have been taking Spiro for over a year, and it works pretty good. Also take Doxycycline a few times a week, but stopped because it was summer. Also tried to lower my spiro dose from 150 to 100 because my skin was doing so good. Well . . . I flared and have been to the derm twice, 3 weeks apart to get cysts injected. So my Dr. throws epiduo and some other med for roscea -which I don't have. I started taking 150 spiro again and went back on the doxy daily until my skin calms down. Who has tried epiduo and what is your opinion. I'm wondering if I should use something that will temporarily make my skin worse, when my acne will probably calm down anyway once I return to my regimen in full.
Please advise if you have tried epiduo. thanks
