...Iraq? Our government sure has gone to a lot of trouble to FREE Iraq from the treacherous villains that haunt it. Seems like we could protect their potential leaders, IF WE WANTED TO.

Hmm, I'll bet the candidates that were gunned down were not our governments FIRST CHOICE for leadership in Iraq. Wanna bet?

You're acting like members of government in our country have never been assassinated or there has never been a murder. Just because there is freedom does not mean all violence will stop and everyone will get along. And as for the shoe throwing incident, there are almost always people who agree with something and those who don't, this is a prime example of that. He is just one of them who don't, it DOESN'T mean that everyone in Iraq thinks the same way. And did you realize that many who have been there and have been following the conditions there over the years, say that in Iraq they are actually better than they were before we their former government was taken down.

Our government was hated by some Germans when we were there, by some Japanese when we were there and it's only natural for some in Iraq to hate us. Anyone that doesn't want a better government, with more freedoms are known as either communists or terrorists. Just as Germany and Japan, our military will be there for many generations to come.

It is impossible for our government to protect everyone, we've even had presidents in the U.S. assassinated. That doesn't mean our military had anything to do with their deaths.
