A great idea for a sequel.

Could also be 3D if they wanted.

Real humans want to take over Toon Town to build houses and tourist attractions. ??

What plotlines could their be?

I'm expecting the computer graphics to be a LOT better this time around. Animated graphics don't seem to get that much better; the improvements always seem to drag on at a slow rate. Maybe digitising characters is the way to go?

I think they can easily re-visit the Betty Boop gag ("Work's been slow since everything went to colour") but this time with 2D characters and CG ones.

The fact this never received a sequel is surprising. That it hasn't after 22 years is truly amazing.

The original was a box office smash, was critically acclaimed and created two very memorable characters.A Roger Rabbit revival would make millions in licensed merchandise alone.

A sequel would write itself.Especially with CGI cartoons near killing the old 2D animation of yesteryear.
Numberous modern characters could show up such as the Toy Story cast,Wall-E,The Incredibles etc.

There has been a lot of talk recently about a sequel from the original films makers. They even tried to do a sequel shortly after the original but I believe Steven Speilberg was behind it not being made.

I actually thought I had read somewhere recently that a sequel was in the pre-production stage...

Very true! Didn't someone from Pixar say its bad stories killing old animation not digital! Look at Studio Ghibli, their animation stanRAB up agenst anything you throw at it

The whole magic of the film was the bad juxtoposition of the real world and Tune Town. If they went near it with CGI they would destroy the whole reason and hook of the original.

Plus I doubt they'd ever come close to creating as scary a character as the judge. Less technology, more imagination is the way to go.
