I saw the original TCM film tonight, bought the DVD, and absolutely LOVED it. Amazing. Then I borrowed a copy of the sequel and watched it immediately afterward. MISTAKE!!!!! Total perversion of the original. Leatherface's brother is more annoying in this one than anything else. He's like a Disney villain. I thought the whole movie was just awful, and totally ruined what made the first one great. If I watch another TCM movie it would only be either the remake (which, the way they do remakes nowadays, maybe I'm not so sure) or the new one, The Beginning. They might as well have added a character like the Genie from Aladdin just to even out the unnecessary humor. Without that, the movie would have done fine. But everything that made the original great was 100% raped by this movie and I will NOT watch any of the others. But as for the original, ROCK ON!!!!!! Nothing beats an original.
