This poll is for people of the Military, Veterans, currently serving or have served. If you're not military there is an option for you.

I'm just curious

Unsure really. I just read an article today in VFW magazine and they broke down each canidate and their views and plans with a number of topics regarding the military. Really they pretty much the same on most of the topics.

Just wait until we're both back from deployment, I'll... be really mean to you and not buy you a drink, Airman...

V/r,
Random Lt.

Obama wants to take my personal weapons.

, the only one. so far.

I would actually want General Anthony Zinni, USMC (Ret) for President.

Fuck that noise. Oh and I'll have a drink, thank you.

We have two households in the same neighborhood, 6 ppl total.
All 6 are voting for McCain.

The candidate who actually served gets bonus points over one who read about wars and stuff while he was at Harvard. This is especially true during a war.
If Sen. Obama was willing to concede that our Generals might know a leeeetle bit more about strategy, war, and military life than himself, and I agreed w/more of his policies otherwise, I could consider making an exception. Since he hasn't bothered to discuss anything with General Petraeus, I'ma g'head and bet it's because he's operating under the erronious assumption that he's somehow more qualified to make military decisions than the good General.
Sen. Obama comes across to me as someone who thinks, "Don't ask me about specifics, you wouldn't understand".
As with many comments Senator Obama made during the debate, when he said he had "spoken to many" military families, and because of that, he understands our pain, it was an insult to military members, and their families.

Greenpillow may have "never been in", but she has been a member of a military family for several years. She knows more than the good Senator from Illinois about military life.

Another "tell"- JUNIOR Sen. Obama repeatedly calling Senior Sen. McCain "John" in an official debate.
We may joke about an AF Sgt being called by his first name, but even the greenest Airman Basic knows that "Bob" is "Sgt." during anything official.

I don't foresee your personal arms being gone anytime soon. There would be soooo much fight from people about that. It would be like them trying to take our booze again. lol. I'm voting for Obama. His views seem more clear to me and I am hoping it will be the better choice. I see McCain as another Bush and honestly don't think our nation could handle that again. I've been in the mil for almost 13 years just to let you know.
