1.) Republicans blame liberals for whining, for being lazy, for not working hard, etc.
2.) These dumb Latinos cross over and "take jobs," which indicates that either:
a.) They out-compete some mad Republicans for jobs in their own darn country... Maybe they aren't so dumb.
b.) They "take" jobs of very low pay, which either did not exist or were not occupied by any U.S. worker, anyways. And they also "took" (read: created) jobs below minimum wage. Which, after all, is an unintended, yet genuine and natural, salute to the free-market principles that Republicans adhere to.
I mean, my question is, with Republicans complaining so much about liberals and about African Americans, etc., doesn't it seem like they are really throwing a bit of a tantrum over nothing here, just making some kind of excuse, riling up some BS about a culture war that takes place only in their thickly-encased brain?
Okay, I do apologize. I also agree that they are family-oriented and hard-working (I dated someone in El Salvador, and their Catholic family was inspirational to me and kind enough to accept that I was not religious).
You guys are right, I stereotyped. Sometimes, I see people posting that they think the border should be mined, and I think back about how my gf's father very openly talked about how many Salvadorians go to the U.S. illegally to bring back money for their wive and children, and while I understand that they are breaking our laws, I've seen both sides of the story and just get angry when someone takes it to a completely immoral level such as mining our borders.
That's all, thanks for some perspective ladies and gentlemen.
