who do i get to publish my book?

I am a first time writer and have a book ready to be published, but cant find any sites on the internet for New York publshers. I happen to be some what of a almost professional editor and am great at finding mishaps but I do not need an editor just a publisher!.
 
First of all, you should look for a literary agent before a publisher. I would recommend reading How To Be You Own Literary Agent by Richard Curtis. Either you will be able to act as your own agent or you will realize how much you need an agent. An agent will help you work with publishers.

Secondly, no publisher will publish a book without having their editors look at it. No matter how good of an editor you are, you need a professional to edit it anyway.
