Who cares about the Oscars......

I am surprised that anyone is interested in the lives or careers of pretentious film stars. I find any mention of them boring, they are, after all, just doing a job, nothing more nothing less. Why then do we not get the media getting over excited reporting on what clothes Emma is wearing as she is working the the till at Tescos, or the love life of Fred who works on a building site for a living. How are their lives considered less interesting than film stars ???

Lets be honest with the complete rubbish that has qualified as cinema worthy film making in the last year or so they need something else to talk about!

I'd find it hard to believe that anyone would be worried about what celebs will be wearing!

I watch the Oscars, because I like seeing who finally picks up what award after months of speculation. I do also like to have a look at the dresses, I don't see what the big deal is really.

So what? It doesn't mean that we can't admire it! I see several beautiful things that I want everyday but I can't have because it's out of my price range. Thankfully I'm able to accept it and still get on with life!

I enjoy it. shame bbc no longer show the full ceremony and at times the best actor or actress doesnt always win...sometimes its a popularity win and at times an actor wins for being overlooked in previous years..eg Judi Dench overlooked for Mrs Brown and winning the next year for Shakespeare In Love.

I cannot stand the Oscars. It is soooo boring. Just another opportunity for a load of back-slapping luvvies to give endless incomprehensible gushing 'peace to the world, end world poverty and I love you mommy, thankyou for giving me this gift, etc. etc.' acceptance speeches.

Goodnight.

I don't like any Award shows or the incessant media coverage awarded to them. I think anyone who is interested in these things should find something more fulfilling to do with their sad lives.

I think its sad that its the actresses and actors that get all the attention where as screenwriters, camera and lighting technicians, editors etc... aren't even mentioned in the media and they probably do at least the same amount or more work than actors do!
