who believes that at least 5 to 10 awesome mind-blowing ground-breaking thrilling exciting movies come out each year (since 2000)?
i think cgi is still in a fledgeling stage and needs to become WAY more developed in order to be realistic. best cgi i've seen was in james cameron's "the abyss" and in "terminator 2." that was masterful.
so far of 4 answerers i am agreeing with "good intentions." but i love the effects in the old "star wars." the costumes and creature art were cool. i didnt like most of "return of the jedi." i think the new star wars prequels are the problem. i think cgi's overrated though, and usually comes with a bad script, bad direction, bad acting, etc. i am very anti-mainstream. as for movies nowadays, dont even get me started.
