Who are some good authors for AR?

For school this year I need to read two books 5.7 reading level and above. I have to pass the AR (accelerated reader) test, but that will be easy, just so long as the book isn't way over my head. I am in 8th grade. One of the books has to be nonfiction.

So could you please reccomend some books or authors that you like that would be appropriate for school? authors I have enjoyed are S.E. Hinton, Joan Bauer, Sharon Creech, Barbara Robinson, Louis Sachar, Sarah Desson, Jeanette Walls. I am looking for Jodi Picoult and Barbara Kingsolver books because they have high reading levels.

I have already read all of the Harry Potter books. I realize some of the authors I mentioned are children's authors but trust me I can handle big books. I really want something interesting and challenging
 
For none fictional books I know there is more than one about Barack Obama (the new us president) that should be good reading.

As for fictional reading maybe one off the harry potter books would fit you? Theyre a bit thick but many hold them as masterpieces. Johan.
