...buy one now? Ford uses the same accelerators on a few of their models. Most people haven't heard that. There is so much mudslinging happening it isn't even funny. Toyota is getting slaughtered because American companies are scared and see an opportunity to raise sales and destroy a competitor. It is sickening. I owned a 2001 Ford Mustang and I had to get rid of it because it was a piece of junk made of Chinese parts that fell into pieces. I couldn't go a month without having an issue with it. I now own a 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol with 200,000 miles on it. I have not had one single issue with it whatsoever.
