I think that was the point in series 1, he was a graduate fast track detective compared with the worked all his life Miles.

Gave up on this half way through the 1st episode, loved the first series with the Jack The Ripper theme, and was looking forward to 'The Krays' element but found this one unwatchable, just really irritating editing, didn't like the Rupert Penry Jones character that much the 1st time found him really annoying in this, was really disappointed because I thought they could have done so much more with it

Loved series one and loved series two even more!!!

Hoping for a 3rd series now!!

It's really divided opinion hasn't it?!
The one request l would have of the third series would be please, no more moles in the team. That's been done twice now, and I don't want to see anyone else
leave!
I reckon also that if they do another one people
might be more comfortable with the storyline, given that this one seemed to pave the way for the team to take on more weird and far fetched cases.

I'd say it's more on a par with the Three Stooges. The storyline was diabolical...and only surpassed in awfulness by the acting of Phil Davis.
