It was pretty bad (but that's ITV for you) the acting was appalling, the only saving grace was Steve Pemberton and Phil Davis but I don't think this will be one of their proudest moments.
ITV should stick to trash like Kyle and Co which they appear to excel in.
Must say when they 'both' stopped in the doorway of the Police station, I thought it was really badly done, and you could blatantly see one had been superimposed into the scene. Maybe I was looking too closely.
Yes, I did wonder originally whether Steve Pemberton would even be in any future series and am pleased that they managed to shoehorn him into this series. Maybe in future he'll just keep popping up - I remember years ago when I used to watch Hill Street Blues they had various street characters - snitches and the like - who used to turn up regularly throughout the episodes. Maybe they can do something similar with him. They're obviously developing his relationship with the DI's character.
Hahaha. That's a great story. I've never inadvertantly gatecrashed any funeral. I've just not lived. But if you are going to funeral-crash, a Kray's is as good place to start. I'm assuming you didn't stay for jellied eel canapes at the wake?
I'm enjoying this tosh, mainly because of the performances, although God knows how the wonderful Phil Davis keeps a straight face.
As if those two weeRAB could control today's East End .. they'd be better off using the "name" by opening a clothes shop or hosting theme nights in a Shoreditch club, and as if four or five honest coppers would let themselves be terrorised in this fashion and not ask for assistance from their bosses at the Met ... nice seeing what was my local caff featured in there, though.
No you weren't, I recognised the actor and so thought it was one actor 'doubled up', and the shots where they are talking to RPJ's character, imo, it's obvious that it's one actor, as all the shots were from over RPJ's shoulder.
