I really liked S1, it has got silly now though. Copycat crime again? Have they run out of ideas? You can see the twins are 1 person playing 2, the s effects are crap.

The way it started out was not great too, it was like they wanted a member of public to die horribly-nice. I felt for Kent, he's the nicest guy in it.

I quite enjoyed the first Whitechapel outing, despite its flaws.

This time...ugh. Utterly unengaging. I doubt I'll bother to see the conclusion, unless I have nothing else to do.

I can't help think it would've been better if they hadn't used the 'copycat of an old case' gimmick again. An entirely original, gory spree of killings would've done fine!

Agree with you there. I didn't see the first series but watched the first episode which was, as you say, enjoyable; yesterday's one was just mind-boggling. The story, the flash backs to some old dear dancing in her front room - I get this was for 'atmosphere', pictures of the Krays and other key places, the characters jumping out of context, etc. I didn't get it, threw me right off the line was trying hard to follow. It was an episode of X-Files mixed up with a bad stage production of Eastenders.

Couple of questions:

1. Who was the actor who played the crook that was offering to help "our" DI

2. In the first series Christopher Fulford's character was a DC who was passing on info to the press right?? Would he really have just been demoted to uniform and if so would he still have been working in the same station??
